In commemoration of 108th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide the concert of the AGBU Sofia Chamber Orchestra was held

On 22 April 2023 under the honorable patronage of Ambassador Armen Yedigarian the concert of the AGBU Sofia Chamber Orchestra, with participation of conductor Levon Manukyan, featuring duduk player Gagik Hakobyan was held, dedicated to the 108th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

In his address Ambassador Yedigarian noted that on these days of April in all corners of the world we pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, a crime that was aimed at the total annihilation of Armenians.

Ambassador Yedigarian, remembering the words of Anatole France of 1916, that “Armenia is dying, but it will survive. A nation that does not want to die, does not die”, noted that the Armenian Genocide survivors, who lost their historical homeland and were forced to exile, were received with grace and compassion in different parts of the world, including Bulgaria, which will never be forgotten.

Ambassador Yedigarian noted that the Armenian Genocide survivors were true to their roots and keep our identity, religion and language, and to transmitting them to the new generations, and established the modern-day Armenian Diaspora, and added, that the memory of the Armenian Genocide is an undeniable part of the national identity, specifically of our Diaspora compatriots.
