The Armenian-Bulgarian Cultural and Information Center, established by the AGBU-Varna Chapter opens in Varna on April 21.

The Center will provide the general public and local entities with information about Armenian history and modern culture, Armenian-Bulgarian ties, it could organize teaching of Armenian and Bulgarian languages, conduct various cultural, educational events, particularly, for the youth - thus contributing to the further expansion of people-to-people contacts.

Throughout the Center’s establishment process the Armenian Embassy in Bulgaria has been providing the organizers with advice and expertise on the matter.

As Ambassador Armen Yedigarian noted in his speech during the opening ceremony – “to me this promising Center symbolizes two major elements of the same reality: the ultimate individual and collective success of the descendants of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide received in Bulgaria more than a hundred years ago and the strength of the Armenian-Bulgarian eternal friendship”.
