On 24th of April 2024 commemoration events were held at the Armenian Khachkars  (Cross-stone) in the Armenian cementry in Sofia and Yerevan Park, dedicated to the 109th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

In his address Ambassador Armen Yedigarian, particularly noted, that all Armenians must be united to put strong efforts into increasing the resilience and security of the Republic of Armenia, as well as strengthening the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia:  this is the only way for dignified way forward for the Armenian Nation, the best tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, for the restoration of justice.Nations having statehood are never subjected to genocides.The event was attended by Mr. Suren Grigoryan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan and the delegation headed by him, Members of the Parliament of Bulgaria, local elected representatives, members of the Armenian community, representatives and intelectuals of the Bulgarian public.
