Commemoration event in Varna dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Maestro Charles Aznavour

On 22th of May 2024, commemoration event was held in Varna dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Maestro Charles Aznavour.

Ambassador Armen Yedigarian laid a wreath in front of the Charles Aznavour's monument on "Saedinenie" square in Varna.

In his address Ambassador Armen Yedigarian, particularly noted, that his rich heritage now belongs to the humanity and to the generations that are yet to come. And that's not just the songs, films and other creative projects. Charles Aznavour was an Ambassador of the French Music and Culture to the world, his talent loved and admired around the globe. He was also an Ambassador of Armenia to the UNESCO and to the Swiss Confederation. But more than that, he had always been an Ambassador and an Advocate of Humanism and Tolerance. In an unpredictable and extremely dangerous environment, the world lives nowadays, we are all in a desperate need of such true the Peoples' Leaders!

The event was attended by the Mayor of Varna, the governor, Members of the Parliament of Bulgaria, local elected representatives, members of the Armenian community and representatives of the Bulgarian public.

In the evening, Ambassador A. Yedigaryan attended the "For You, Charles" concert, during which a number of Maestro's songs were performed.
